Leadership Talks 2nd Session Achieved Success

On the approaching of International Women’s Day, the 2nd session of Leadership Talks Series ——Women's Leadership organized by European Chamber Shenyang Chapter (hereinafter refer to as Shenyang Chapter) was held on February 17th, 2023 at Shenyang New World EXPO, 4th Floor, EXPO Gallery. Shenyang Chapter invited Ms. Eu-Niz CHAN, Consul General of the Australian Consulate General in Shenyang, as the moderator of the event, together with Ms. Sara YUN, Consul General of U.S. Consulate General in Shenyang, Ms. Charlène MWEPU-BROS, Cooperation Consul of the French Consulate General in Shenyang, Mr. Erich KAISERSEDER, General Manager of Conrad Hotel, Ms. Tanja MULLER, senior official in leave of absence from the Bavarian government and currently working at BMW Brilliance in fields of education and culture, to have a positive and extensive discussion with the guests around female leadership.

During the one-and-a-half-hour discussion, the guest speakers shared their wisdoms on many interesting topics such as how women broke through stereotypes in their workplace, the advantages of female leaders in some key roles, women's pursuit of balance between family and career, the power of female role models and their creation of value for the organization etc. which showed that with the progress of society, women’s social status has been continuously improved, and they are taking on the responsibilities of family, career and social development with more diversified roles. Women are strong but not harsh, tolerant but not weak and are playing irreplaceable roles in senior positions in many industries. Just as Ms. G.D Anderson, a famous Australian writer and feminist, once said” Feminism isn’t about making women strong. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength.”

The 2nd session of leadership talks ended successfully in relaxed and open discussion.

Please stay tuned for the next event of this series…
