Concluding Seminar of the “Advance EU Access to Financial Incentives for Innovation in China”

Representatives of the European Chamber's R&D and ICT Working Groups participated in the concluding seminar of the EU funded project “Advance EU Access to Financial Incentives for Innovation in China”, in which the European Chamber has been involved as a supporting organization. The 18 months long study was a key action initiated by the EU as part of a monitoring of the effective implementation of the EU-China Joint Roadmap on Reciprocal Access to Research and Innovation Funding Programmes. The main findings of the study as well as a guide for EU stakeholders were presented, which show that international participation at Chinese funded research projects remains very low but that the environment is improving overall.

Meeting on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020

On 29th November, 2017, the European Chamber had the pleasure to welcome Dr. Laurent Bochereau, Head of Science, Technology and Environment Section, EU Delegation to China to our joint Working Group meeting on Horizon 2020. Mr Bochereau presented the recently released Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020 and share his insights on cooperation opportunities for industries, followed by a Q&A session with the members.

Meeting with European Commission’s Joint Research Committee

The European Chamber met with a delegation of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre in order to present the European Chamber’s Research and Development (R&D) Working Group and China’s R&D policies. The European Chamber also presented the key finding of the Business Confidence Survey 2017 related to innovation.
