Meeting with Vice Mayor of Chengdu
On 8th March, European Chamber in China met with the Vice Mayor Qingbao Niu of Chengdu Municipal Government, representatives from Investment Promotion Committee and relevant departments. Vice President Massimo Bagnasco and Secretary General Adam Dunnett received them at the Chamber Beijing office, along with a selected list of member companies, separately representing WGs of Automotive, Quality and Safety Services, Environment, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Equipment.

The European Chamber welcomes the decision of the Ministry of Transport to publicly call for comments on the Administrative Measures for the Safety of Road Transport of Dangerous Goods (Draft for Comments). The Administrative Measures for the Safety of Road Transport of Dangerous Goods (Draft for Comments) (hereinafter referred to as Administrative Measures) fully consider the cooperation needs among competent authorities on the dangerous goods management and has a good consistency with the JT/T 617 series standards.
However, certain issues of significance remain, while the Administrative Measures still lack or fail to clarify certain basic aspects governing the safety of road transport of dangerous goods.
Meeting with China-Europe Water Resources Platform
On March 5, a delegation of the China-Europe Water Resources Platform of the International Economic and Technical Cooperation and Exchange Centre, Ministry of Water Resources, visited the European Chamber and held a heated discussion on China-EU water resources cooperation status quo and future plan.
