About the company
The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China was founded in 2000 by 51 member companies that shared a goal of establishing a common voice for the European businesses operating in China. It is a members-driven, non-profit, fee-based organization with a core structure of over 35 working groups and fora representing European business in China.
The European Chamber now has more than 1700 members in 7 chapters operating in 9 cities: Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenyang, South China (Guangzhou and Shenzhen), Southwest China (Chengdu and Chongqing), and Tianjin.

Job description
The Marketing and Events Intern will assist the Marketing Manager in various tasks, including supporting the development of the Chamber’s branding and coordinating its events in Shenzhen. Additional responsibilities may involve providing administrative and accounting support for the Shenzhen office.
This internship is work on site for 6 months, with a stipend of 100RMB/day.
The candidate should be able to work 3-5 days per week, in the European Chamber’s Shenzhen Office.
Availability: Ideally starting after the Spring Festival holiday.
Marketing
- Prepare the bi-weekly South China Newsletter;
- Prepare WeChat posts and support the operation of the South China WeChat account;
- Design event flyers and create visual materials for marketing purposes;
- Conduct analysis of the Chamber’s marketing channels;
- Assist in organizing Marketing and Communications Forum events;
- Support the improvement of the Chamber’s marketing strategy.
Events
- Assist in managing event page content and making events newsletters.
- Assist in the confirmation of people's registrations for events, and the coordination with venues and speakers.
- Support event execution.
- Assist with post-event follow-up, accounting, and event summaries drafting.
Others
- Office accounting and supply ordering;
- Other tasks assigned by the marketing manager.
Skills & experience
- Must be a current university or master student;
- Basic skills of PS/AI/PR/Canva or other design platform is preferred;
- Familiar with the operation of official WeChat account;
- Able to work in both English and Mandarin Chinese;
- Committed and available to work 3-5 days a week for 6 months.
