Job description

The ideal candidate will be energetic, curious, highly motivated, committed to the tasks. 

An excellent organizer, precise in the activities management and scheduling. 

An active listener, able to learn then implement subsequently, and a team player with ability to work independently on the assigned tasks.

The Project manager will leverage the unique holistic expertise of CNEUCN Scientific Committee and industry experts, based in Europe and China, and adapt this to the needs of the Chinese market to strengthen the company position as a trusted and respected partner on low-carbon policy, technology and green financing.

The successful candidate will, preferably, have a deep understanding of corporate sustainability and experience of working in or with businesses to reduce climate impact and transition to a low carbon economy. 

The role will be client-facing, with institutional entities and corporates, for business development and new job acquisition then will be actively involved in project management and delivery of projects across the full range of CNEUCN sustainability services. 

About the Role:  Junior Profile – Project Management & Business Development

Job summary:

The objective of this Junior Project Manager position is to support the growth of the CNEUCN’s activities and impact in China, especially in business development with its institutional and corporate present and potential clients. 

This position in the China team will be responsible for winning and delivering new projects.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The role consists of the following activities related to corporate consulting projects:

· Scout business opportunities by his/her own network, on web and other media; 

· Business development activities. Develop new potential opportunities and contact as well as will follow up the contacts introduced by the Company; 

· Contribute to broader the business development process of market research, partner identification and relationship building with key stakeholders in China.

· Prepare business development and promotional documents (consultancy proposals, contracts power point presentation, other promotional documents);

· Deliver contracted work to a high standard, including carrying out desk-based research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, stakeholder engagement, and report and presentation preparation;

· Consultancies jobs management (follow up with Clients and external consultants along Party A activities development) for the successful delivery of projects and consultancies;

· Monitor the low carbon policy landscape, market potential and technology development in China and Europe, while keeping up-to-date with the latest CNEUCN Partners activities;

· Directly contribute for the organization and delivery of Party A’s conferences and events;

· Support the Company CEO in translation and interpretation along public events and business meetings;

· Support on the release of the Company Marketing documents;

· Documents translation and/or verification, when required;

· Business trips as required by above tasks; 

· Operate according to the Company’s procedures then reach the expected service quality;

Other duties as assigned.

Skills & experience

Key competencies:
 Chinese Nationality.
 Chinese native speaker with excellent written and oral communication in English.
 Exceptional relationship building skills and attitude for business development activities.
 Skills in both strategic proposal development and presentation for business projects.
 Experience of developing business with multiple customers at various stages of
commitment concurrently.
 Credibility in managing institutional and corporate customer relationships.
 Ability to grasp and apply technical information across a broad spectrum of markets, industries and organizations.
 Self-sufficient attitude and capable of working with basic administrative back up.
 Ability to work within a matrix management structure and company procedure.

Qualifications and experience:
• Bachelor or Masters level qualification.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience to deliver the assigned project working in a multidisciplinary team.
• Advanced computer literacy including Microsoft Office package and other software.
• Solid market research and international cooperation experience.

In addition, any experience in the following areas would be beneficial:
• Work experience either working in a relevant role for a corporate or as a sustainability consultant working across energy, climate change or ESG.
