According to the UN International Trade Centre, SMEs represent 95% of firms in the world and provide 70% of employment opportunities. Data from the OECD indicates that SMEs in China contribute significantly to the country’s various economic sectors. However, SMEs face significant challenges in adopting sustainable practices and operations. In 2018, the Chinese National Environment Ministry reported penalties for environmental regulations violations as mostly incurred by SMEs.

On December 11th, 2001, China entered World Trade Organisation (WTO) and China market was opening since then. Over the years, China market see lots of companies and corporations around the world explore their business potential and flourish here. While pandemic comes out of sudden which has a significant impact on companies’ supply chain management and its resilience and agility.
