On 24th April, the European Parliament voted and adopted the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), meaning it is now a legal responsibility for companies in the European Union (EU) to comply with the sustainability legislation and regulations indicated in the directive. Not complying with, or violating, legal requirements will lead to a significant financial or social impact for the company to bear.
While CSDDD is taking into effect in the EU, the directive also influences companies currently doing business in China. SANSILVESTRO is located in Novello, in the heart of Langhe, a range of hills with much to offer, in exchange though for hard work, passion and courage.
Founded in 1871 by Sartirano Giovanni and led by the Sartirano family for manually harvested in its vineyards in the Langhe and from vineyards to be found in the Roero and in the Monferrato. SANSILVESTRO wines are the leading Piedmonts’ D.O.C. and D.O.C.G., produced with the utmost respect for the territory and tradition. The winery was designed to harmoniously blend itself into the surrounding scenery, without forgetting the most innovative and up-to-date technology. A total surface of 5’000 square meters, where of 4’000 underground, means a total storage capacity of around 400’000 bottles at controlled temperature.
