The European Chamber’s Logistics Working Group is pleased to invite you to its 2026 Kick-off Meeting and Position Paper Discussion, which will take place on Friday, 20th March 15:00 – 17 : 00.
The meeting will be divided into two parts.
1st Part: The first part will be an internal session of the Logistics Working Group. To begin, the Working Group Chairs will review the Group’s activities in 2025 and share key challenges and priorities for 2026. This will be followed by a discussion on the Position Paper.
As the 2026 Position Paper process has officially commenced, this session will focus on the allocation of lead persons for each Key Recommendation (KR), discussion on potential revisions to existing KRs, and alignment on overall advocacy priorities. If time allows, lead persons in attendance will be invited to share their preliminary thinking on the recommendations they oversee. Members are strongly encouraged to contribute actively to the discussion and development of this year’s Key Recommendations.
2nd Part: The second part will be an information-sharing and cross-industry discussion session open to all European Chamber members on global trade trends in 2026, as well as related opportunities and risks. Shan Guo will present recent research on global trade developments, with a particular focus on emerging dynamics in regions such as the Middle East.

In this session, Shan Guo, Partner at Hutong Research, will share insights on key global trade trends, including China’s role in international supply chains, geopolitical developments affecting trade flows, as well as strategic shifts linked to current Middle East tensions. The discussion will focus on what these developments could mean for European businesses in 2026, followed by an open Q&A among participants.
