The European Chamber cordially invites you to a breakfast roundtable featuring Nicholas Whyte, Senior Director, APCO Global Solutions, to decode the latest dynamics in EU-China relations and sentiments from Brussels.
Nicholas is a prominent Brussels-based EU influencer, seasoned political advisor, and veteran in geopolitics, with more than twenty-five years of experience in international affairs, advocacy and research. He was recognized in 2017 and 2018 as one of the top 40 online EU Influencers on Twitter.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the EU and China. As two major global forces and markets, both sides have moved forward with a consistent commitment to cooperation and mutual development over these 50 years. In the first half of this year, as the global economic order shifts profoundly, the EU and China face common challenges: evolving geopolitical dynamics, growing protectionism, and unilateral measures etc. As the two sides enter the next 50 years, the 25th EU-China Summit — which concluded in Beijing in late July — has come at a critical juncture, laying groundwork for further talks to foster a fairer trade and investment relationship ahead.
• What are Brussels’ perspectives on EU-China relations at this historic juncture?
• How do the EU policies toward China impact your operations and compliance?
• In which areas might breakthroughs be made in EU-China collaboration in the future?
Join us for this enlightening breakfast briefing with Nicholas Whyte, who will delve into these pressing topics from a Brussels lens with his expertise.
