Mr. Riccardo Benussi
Mr. Riccardo Benussi
Riccardo Benussi is a Manager on the International Business Advisory team for the Shanghai office of Dezan Shira & Associates. Riccardo assists foreign invested companies from Europe, North and South America with their investments in China. Riccardo’s areas of expertise include setting up of wholly foreign-owned enterprises and representative offices, and trademark filing in China. His industry experience includes international food and beverage, manufacturing, and high-tech. Riccardo also co-manages the Italian Desk with Dezan Shira & Associates’ Managing Partner, Alberto Vettoretti.
Prior to joining Dezan Shira & Associates, Riccardo Benussi worked on the trademark team at one of Asia’s largest IP law firms after gaining experience at a large Italian-based IP advisory firm. Most recently, Riccardo was the legal consultant for a Sino-American construction company based in Shanghai.
Riccardo was previously a post-graduate fellow with the Italian Trade Agency based in Rome, Shanghai Tong Ji University and Beijing. The course focused on Intellectual Property management and internationalization for SMEs. Riccardo holds a bachelor’s degree in Intellectual Property and East Asian Law from the University of Bologna. He is fluent in Italian, English, German and Spanish and is proficient in Chinese.
Mr. Bernhard Weber
Mr. Bernhard Weber
Mr. Bernhard Weber is the Chief Representative of the State of Baden-Württemberg in China and General Manager from the Baden-Württemberg International - Nanjing.
He was Senior Vice-President & Regional Administration Officer of BSH Home Appliances Holding (China) Co., Ltd. from October 2014 to June 2018 and he was responsible for public affairs and regional human resource management. He also act as the local interface to the regional service line of global IT functions.
Mr. Weber started to work as Vice President and CFO of BSH Home Appliances (China) Co., Ltd in July of 2003. In the beginning of 2016, Mr. Weber was elected Chair of the Nanjing Chapter of the European Chamber of Commerce in China.
Born in May of 1958, Mr. Weber has studied in Europe, China, Japan and the United States, graduating with MA and MBA degrees with high honors. Besides his native tongue, German, Mr. Weber also speaks Mandarin Chinese, English, Italian, French and Japanese.

As an Engineer, graduated in Material Science & Technology and in Mechanical Engineering / Production Technology (RWTH Aachen), my professional path began in R&D and Production Technologies. During the past 21 years I worked for BORSIG, GEA and TURCK before joining Fette Compacting in Nanjing.
Since 2000 I have been holding General and Senior Management (International Group level) positions with main responsibilities for Sales, Production, Engineering and R&D in the machinery / equipment business for various industries. In my responsibilities, it has been always my duty to drive businesses and operations; including strategic business and organizational development, change management, administration and personnel management on international level. My “China experience” started with improving and extending the operations of a JV (joint venture) back in 2004/05. Since January 2010, I am living and working in China as MD for WFOEs in Shanghai, Tianjin and now Nanjing. I am married and have two grown-up daughters.
