Dear Working Group Member,
The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to invite you to The Copenhagen Debate III: Green Building in China on Wednesday 26th August at 4 pm in Kerry Centre Hotel Beijing. This is the third event in our Copenhagen Debate Environmental Seminar series, a 6-month program of discussions about the most urgent environmental issues facing China and the world in the run-up to December’s Copenhagen Climate Summit.
Join us for the third session on the Environmentally Friendly Construction: How You Can – and Why You Should - Green Up Your Facilities.
Half of all new construction in the world will take place in China for the next 10 to 15 years. China’s target is to achieve 50% energy-efficient rate by 2010 for buildings in all cities and towns. By 2020, 65% of the buildings in those areas are expected to be energy-efficient. Greening this vast construction is a tremendous challenge and opportunity.
We will discuss about the general legislative aspect of Green Building – the laws, incentives and penalties in place, development of the market for Green Building Standards in China as well as how to make your project go through LEED Standard.
Our panel for this debate is composed of experts in the field, including Barbara Li, Fabien Joly de Bresillion and Catherine Xiong. For further information about our experts as well as the event, please check the link below:
