Multinational companies in China are facing more regulatory pressure on cybersecurity and data transmission in recent years. On one hand, China has stepped up its cyber-related legislation with an unprecedented speed. On the other hand, the Coronavirus outbreak, by forcing companies and individuals to rely on online tools and hybrid workplace, has further underlined the importance for enterprises to review its approach to cybersecurity.

Cybersecurity Law has brought heavy impact on the business community in China; particularly, cross-border data transfer requirements are likely to be thorny for companies.
