Dear Forum Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the next Marketing and Communications Forum meeting to be held on Thursday, 22nd September 2011, starting at 4:00pm at the European Chamber’s Office in Beijing.
At this meeting we will have the pleasure to have Mr. Dominic Johnson-Hill, the founder and creative ‘dictator’ of Plastered T-shirts, Beijing’s first original t-shirt brand. The now-famous clothing brand takes iconic imagery from China’s streets and celebrates it. Dominic will share his experience on Creative Marketing with the Forum members, especially from the perspective of a SME.
Dominic arrived in Beijing in 1993 as a backpacker and then in 1995 setup his first business providing market research for foreign companies in China during which time he traveled to almost every major city in China. In 2006 Dominic started Plastered T-shirts on a then very quiet hutong (alleyway) called Nan Luo Gu Xiang. Plastered T-shirts now sells out of 12 locations worldwide.
Dominic’s presentation will cover his unconventional and sometimes ridiculous marketing ideas that have shot him and his brand to fame in mainland China. This is not a numbers talk, its pure creativity and passion.
If you would like to attend this meeting, please register with Ms. Mariana Li, mli@europeanchamber.com.cn, by COB Wednesday 21st September.
