The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to invite you to an afternoon seminar on Foreign Investment Facilitation in China on June 22nd at the Hilton Beijing Hotel.
On April 13, 2010, State Council published Certain Opinions on “Further Facilitating the Utilization of Foreign Investment”. The opinions set forth the new policies of Chinese Government on Foreign investment in, among other things, industrial opening areas, industrial region shift, foreign investment utilization patterns, and examination and approvals on foreign investment. It delivers a clear message that the investment direction has been altered from a somewhat generalist and broad approach to a more focused model that aims to support China's development requirements and benefit China's global competitiveness.
Generally, these regulations open the doors to foreign investors to the widely concerned, sensitive fields like financial capital market to foreign investment subject to some limitations. So this is a welcome broadening and clarification. In particular, this is important for foreign private equity firms that wish to invest in China, which are keen to consider whether they can use these new rules to structure their funds and investments in China.
What’s the effect of these regulations? How will these regulations affect decisions by foreign investment enterprises? What will be the future prospects regarding this?
This seminar will share with you some insightful views on this new regulation, and identify for you the new business opportunities in China from both legal and investment perspectives.
