Mr. Michael Chang
Member of China Leadership team, EVP, Head of CX Strategy & Technology, Board Member of Nokia FUNO. He has over 22 years of managerial experience in multinational companies on ICT research & innovation, standardization, technology strategy and regulations and Pre-sales. After joining Nokia, he has assumed various managerial roles in research & standardization, strategy & regulations, Solution Pre-sales/Sales support. He currently looks after all major technologies frontline relevant to Nokia mission and thought leadership in Greater China, e.g. 5G/6G, oRAN/vRAN, critical network evolution, cloud & digital transformation, technology policies for cybersecurity and data security.
Supervisory Board Member of CCSA (China Communication Standard Association). National Chair of ICT working group, EU Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC). Michael served as Vice President and Board Member for EUCCC (2017-2019), where he played a leading role in China-EU high level dialogue on High-Tech & Digital policies and cross-industry exchanges. Michael was a member of the “EU-China Expert Group on Digital Economy & Cybersecurity” formed by China & EU government as top dialogue platform on digital policies coordination.
Ms. Tilly Zhang
Tilly Zhang is a distinguished China Technology Analyst at Gavekal Dragonomics, where she provides in-depth analysis of China’s semiconductor, internet, and broader technology sectors.
With over seven years of experience at Gavekal Fathom China, where she extensively covered the chip industry, Tilly joined Gavekal Dragonomics in 2023 to broaden her focus on the intersection of technology, macroeconomics, and industrial policy.
Holding a BA in Journalism from Xi’an International Studies University, Tilly combines deep industry expertise with extensive on-the-ground experience in China and globally. She maintains regular dialogue with senior executives at global hedge funds and diplomats, offering nuanced insights on AI, government tech strategy, semiconductor development, and a range of other critical topics.
Mr. Christopher Thomas
Christopher Thomas (“Chris”) works with partners and clients across Silicon Valley, China, Japan, Taiwan, and Europe at the intersection of semiconductors, strategy, finance, and government policy.
Chris is the founder of Integrated Insights, an advisory firm serving the Boards and CEOs of global companies. He serves as Board Advisor at the TMRW Foundation, CrowdGen AI, and the Atlantic Council China Hub, and as delegation lead for the US-China Track II Dialogues on the Digital Economy. The State Council of the People’s Republic of China certified Chris as a ‘Foreign Expert’ in 2021.
Chris spent ten years at McKinsey & Company, where he was Managing Partner for both the Asia Semiconductor Practice and the Digital Strategy service line. McKinsey ranked Chris in the top 10% of global partners in 3 of his last 4 years at the Firm.
Prior to McKinsey, Chris spent a decade at Intel Corporation. He was the President of Intel China, the largest semiconductor business in China. Chris also held multiple executive roles at Intel’s Silicon Valley headquarters, including General Manager of the Optical Products Group and Chief of Staff to the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer.
Chris began his career as a private equity investor at The Blackstone Group in New York City. Other previous roles include non-resident Senior Fellow in Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies at the Brookings Institution; Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University; and Board Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Velodyne, the inventor of LiDAR.
Chris received an MBA from Stanford Business School, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar; a Master of Arts in Political Science from Stanford University; and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, summa cum laude, from the Wharton School.
