On 1st March 2023, the European Union (EU) is launching the next phase of its customs pre-arrival security and safety programme, Import Control System 2 (ICS2). From this date, Economic Operators, involved in sending, handling, shipping and transporting cargo, express or postal consignments to or via EU by air have to comply with new data reporting requirements for pre-loading and pre-arrival customs risk assessments.
The ICS2 programme concerns a wide range of exporters to the EU. In order to ensure compliance to the new EU customs’ procedures and the success entrance of air cargo into the EU, companies need to be aware of what the necessary data to be provided to their third-party operators.
The European Chamber’s Logistics Working Group is delighted to have invited the extinguished speakers – Ms Sandra Fischer, Global Head of Customs & Regulatory Affairs and Senior Vice President of DHL Express and Mr Walter Van der Meiren, Director for Customs Brokerage of UPS Europe - to explain what the new requirements on the data are to ensure compliance.
Please kindly note that this is a working group event open to members only, free of charge. If you are interested to join, please register by clicking on the "Register Here" button on this page, no later than COB Friday 28th October. Given the meeting room’s capacity being limited to 30 people, the offline seats are provided on a first-come-first-served basis.
