Connecting cars to each other and to the infrastructure has great potential to deliver safer, cleaner and smarter vehicles. Where does Europe stand? The European Chamber will invite ACEA Global Secretary General Erik Jonnaert to share a European point of view on the latest developments in connectivity, automation and intelligent transport system (ITS) technologies.
Jonnaert will explain what European motor vehicle manufacturers are working on, and provide an overview of how Europe is developing a policy and regulatory framework to make connected and automated vehicles possible. Moreover, ACEA’s Global Secretary General will touch upon the challenges that lie ahead; ranging from the need for global harmonization and appropriate infrastructure to privacy and data protection.
