On the 23rd of May, the Healthcare Equipment Working Group provided feedback on a draft titled "Implementation Opinions on Further Strengthening the Management of Medical Consumables Procurement in Public Medical Institutions". This draft was submitted to the Anhui Healthcare Security Administration for comments. The group made several key recommendations. First, they suggested swift removal of delisted products from the platform and proposed a mechanism to streamline this process. Secondly, they recommended standardising terms like "listing price/purchase price" to "provincial listing price" to prevent confusion. To comply with national policies, laws, and document requirements, they called for timely adjustments and reasonable price limits. Recognising potential pricing errors in medical consumables, they suggested the creation of a fair, transparent, and efficient negotiation mechanism, which includes optimising the negotiation process to balance interests, reduce ineffective negotiations, and improve procurement efficiency.
