Meeting with International Department of the Chinese Communist Party

On 29^th January 2024, Jens Eskelund, President of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China met with Mr. Zhao Shitong. Assistant Minister of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party (IDCPC) at the IDCPC office. Both sides exchanged views in a very pragmatic and constructive way on EU-China relations, the broader geopolitical context, supply chain resilience and foreign business environment in China. The senior representatives from the European Chamber voiced out operational issues of the member companies in the sectors of automotive, energy, environment/green technology, financial services, and ICT at the meeting. All the issues were well received by the Assistant Minister Zhao. Both sides agreed to continue view exchanges in the future.
