Meeting with the Delegation of the European Union to China on Food Sector Updates

European Chamber introduced its advocacy progress in the agricultural sector with the Delegation of the European Union to China (EUD). The themes include infant formula, on-site inspection, and the advocacy progress of the European Chamber’s Dairy Desk and Agriculture, Food and Beverage Working Group.

EUD introduced the member states’ concerns about the General Administration of Customs in China (GACC)’s Regulation on Registration Administration of Overseas Manufactures of Imported Foods (Decree 248) and Administrative Measures on Safety of Import and Export Food (Decree 249), and the GACC’s registration system of overseas manufacturers of imported foods.
