Opening Ceremony for the 8th Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference with the Core Leadership Team of The People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality

On 30th August, the 8th Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference China & the 1st Global Unicorn CEO Forum was held in Guangzhou and the European Chamber Vice President and South China Board Chair Mr. Klaus Zenkel was invited as VVIP to this significant event.

The Conference is focused on the digital, green and international transformation, as well as the industrial development of smart manufacturing, next-gen IT, biomedicine, new energy, etc. It consisted of 1 plenary session, 9 overseas sessions, and 21 parallel sessions & special events, where participants can have in-depth dialogues and seek cooperation opportunities. The conference comprehensively demonstrated the favorable investment environment of Guangzhou, Guangdong, and China to global investors, and injected vitality into economic growth in the post-COVID era. 

Mr. Klaus Zenkel had a free exchange with the core leadership team of The People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality regarding the overall European companies operation situation in Guangzhou, the latest development of European Chamber and the business opportunities as well as the investment environment in Guangzhou during the VIP exchange dialogue. The core leadership is Mr. Lin Keqing, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, Mr. Guo Yonghang, Mayor of Guangzhou Municipal People's Government, Mr. Wang Yanshi, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Guangzhou Municipal People's Congress, and Mr. Li Yiwei, Chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Guangzhou Committee.

They all presented on the stage and officially kicked off the opening ceremony of the conference.
