Meeting with Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on the Development of Construction Industry in Beijing

Chamber National Chair of Construction Working Group, Mr Javier Lopez commenced this meeting by expressing warm welcomes to Director Zhao Yong, Department of Supervision on Construction Market and Deputy Director Zhu Jinshan, Department of Administration for Construction Industry from the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.  Director Zhao divided his speech into six sections including basic facts of Beijing's construction industry, status quos of Beijing's construction enterprises in 2017, analysis on the qualification and registration of practitioners in construction industry, green development of energy-saving construction in Beijing, key work plans of Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in 2018, major investment plan and outlook on construction industry of Beijing for 2018. Deputy Director Zhu also attended to the questions concerning foreign invested construction enterprises in Beijing and opening-up policies raised by the members.

This meeting concluded with Mr Javier Lopez presenting the European Chamber Position Paper 2017/2018 to Director Zhao and the hope of establishing dialogues on a regular basis between the European Chamber and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
