About the company
The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China was founded in 2000 by 51 member companies that shared a goal of establishing a common voice for the European businesses operating in China. It is a members-driven, non-profit, fee-based organisation with a core structure of over 25 working groups and forums representing European business in China.
The European Chamber now has more than 1700 members in 7 chapters operating in 9 cities: Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenyang, South China (Guangzhou and Shenzhen), Southwest China (Chengdu and Chongqing), and Tianjin.
The Chamber is recognised as the official voice of European business in China.
Job description
This internship is work on site for up to 6 months, with a stipend of 100RMB/day. The candidate should be able to work 4-5 days per week, in the European Chamber’s Guangzhou office.
Membership:
Support to Membership Tasks include (but are not limited to):
• Communication with Member companies for various assistances.
• Conducting research and analysis on companies and industrial sectors as requested by the line-manager.
• Prospects meetings preparation and minutes.
• Companies database management: updating Users accounts details, updating distribution lists maintenance.
• Follow up documents: Membership contracts preparation and management, Membership payments, invoices, certification, publications, etc.
• On-site event’s presence and support.
Sponsorship:
Support to Sponsorship Tasks include (but are not limited to):
• Communication with potential sponsors.
• Potential sponsors database management
• Follow up documents: sponsorship contracts preparation, invoicing and payments, etc.
Skills & experience
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Mandarin;
• Background in trade, economics, communication or foreign languages is preferred;
• Computer competencies, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Photoshop is a plus;
• Detail-oriented, outgoing and accurate;
• Proactive with open-minded and communication attitude.
