Position Overview:
Duke Kunshan University (DKU) is a world-class liberal arts university based in Kunshan, China, that offers a range of high quality, innovative academic programs for students from around the world. It was established in September 2013 as a U.S.-China partnership between Duke University and Wuhan University.
Executive Education is at the intersection of University life. Tasked with delivering business programmes for leading executive and managers, we draw together the unique faculty talent of DKU supplemented with outside adjunct faculty, the incredible facilities of the university campus in Kunshan and our own hotel. We also deliver our programmes from client locations and other third party venues.

Senior Director of Executive Education and Lifelong Learning
Essential Duties:
The successful candidate is expected to be active in all areas of the Executive Education business, and in particular:
Programme Delivery
l Support the design and delivery of programmes. Our clients expect inspirational programmes that deliver business results. Creating solutions that enable the business outcome, deliver the DKU experience and ensuring seamless delivery is core to our success.
Business Development and Sales Support
l Initiate pipeline building activities and following through with conversations that lead to proposal requests and ultimately sold programmes. Supporting the system that enables sales – and being present in the market – is central to the manager role.
Customer Relationship Management
l The fastest route to sustainable growth is repeat clients. The manager is expected to maintain contact with clients between programmes and identify future needs.
People Management
l The successful candidate is expected to manage and develop the growing team.
Other
l Working with other departments, support the marketing and profile raising of the university, its alumni, and students. Ensure the reputation of Executive Education is positive and an atmosphere of mutual support between departments remains and is developed.
l Perform other duties as assigned.
l University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs.
Skills & experience
Required Qualifications:
l Bachelor’s degree or above.
l More than 10 years’ work experience in client service with people management skills and willing to move to Sales-oriented role.
l Solid English ability in terms of both writing and speaking. The team’s working language is English. Native Mandarin speaker, strong business writing skills in Chinese.
l Analytical capability, with good commercial acumen, presence, business sense and financial knowledge .
l Self-motivated, and willing to solve challenges and work under pressure.
l High professionalism, and a team player with positive attitude.
