Internship in our project “Transformation in the Mobility Sector in Asia and Germany”
Location: P.R. China, Beijing
Internship period: for 3 to 6 months (6 months preferred), starting ASAP.
About us:
Our project aims to deepen the political and technical cooperation between Germany and China on climate-friendly transport and to initiate thematic exchanges with further Asian countries on holistic change of transport systems. The project supports the dialogue between the German Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) and political institutions, research institutes and industrial representatives, which are responsible for the transport transition in the Asian countries of cooperation as well as to further analyses transport-specific developments in East Asian countries and conducts research and technical studies. Through Expert dialogues and other events, the project will provide a good platform to discuss concrete measures for a climate-friendly and inclusive transport transition, to assess policies in other country contexts and evaluate their potential transferability. New impulses are set to address the societal as well as systemic dimensions of a holistic transport transition.
Job description
The main tasks:
•Assisting in the research work for the project in the field of sustainable transport, conducting trends analysis as well as preparing
•presentations
•Translating relevant project documents for dissemination to stakeholders
•Supporting to the organization of project events (workshops, trainings, webinars, etc.)
•Developing and implementing the external communication of the project (social media updates and policy briefing preparation etc.)
Skills & experience
Qualification requirements:
•Excellent master student major in German language, transport, political sciences, international relations, public policies, or a similar subject.
•Chinese native speaker with good knowledge of German language is a must; English language knowledge is an advantage.
•Experience in social media promotion (e.g., WeChat post with Xiumi App); Knowledge of Adobe InDesign or Photoshop/Illustrator is an advantage
•Creativity and willingness to think outside the box, proactive working style.
•Solid knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
•Team player with strong intercultural communication skills
