About the company
The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China was founded in 2000 by 51 member companies that shared a goal of establishing a common voice for the European businesses operating in China. It is a members-driven, non-profit, fee-based organisation with a core structure of over 25 working groups and forums representing European business in China.
The European Chamber now has more than 1700 members in 7 chapters operating in 9 cities: Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenyang, South China (Guangzhou and Shenzhen), Southwest China (Chengdu and Chongqing), and Tianjin.
The Chamber is recognised as the official voice of European business in China.
Job description
This internship is for 6 months with a stipend of 100RMB/day. The candidate should be able to work for 4-5 days/week, in the European Chamber’s Guangzhou office.
- Assist the organization of government meetings and business events in South China with governments, companies, and business associations.
- Research on EU-China industrial policies and current affairs.
- Written and oral ENG/CHN translations.
- Other administrative works.

Skills & experience
1. Must remain an enrolled university student during whole internship.
2. Must be fully proficient in written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese.
3. Academic background in international relations or political science preferred.
4. Previous NGO/government/international business internship experiences preferred.
5. Stable residence in Guangzhou preferred.
