Job description
Position Overview:
Position provides primary event audio visual technical support for the campus, inclusive of specialized audio visual rooms. In addition, the role will work with campus stakeholders to optimize utilization of the spaces and be part of the team responsible for the upkeep of the equipment.

Essential Duties:
1. Responsible for technical support of conferences, performances, and other events on campus inclusive of specialized audio visual rooms such as the CCTE Theater, Performance Cafe, Visitor Center, AB Ballroom, AB Auditorium, CC Conference Center, IB Lecture Hall, etc.
2. Interface with user departments for all types of requirements for their events.
3. Testing and operations of microphones, projectors, display screens and mixing consoles.
4. Lighting console operations such as scene calling and configuration.
5. Switching of various types of video signal sources.
6. Operation and support of simultaneous translations.
7. LED and other types of large screen video signal display and control operations.
8. Zoom video conferencing setup, testing, and live streaming.
9. Rehearsals and system testing in advance of conferences or performances.
10. Responsible for dealing with emergencies in conferences and performances such as emergency repair work, including software and hardware equipment failure, etc.
11. Hardware includes digital projectors, DSP, amplifiers, speaker systems, Mic, digital mixing consoles, lighting consoles, cameras, large LED screens, control systems, video encoders/decoders and interfaces.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & experience
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience.
2. 5 years experience and/or education in the installation, integration and commissioning of complex audio visual systems is preferred, and experience in the operation of technical support for large-scale conferences and performances is preferred.
3. Fluent oral and written English communication skills. Comfortable working in an international environment.
4. Knowledge of equipment from various audio visual equipment manufacturers such as Crestron, EAW, Biamp, Shure, A&H, Martin Lighting, etc.
5. Experience with acoustic design, tuning, improvement, and troubleshooting, including Mic, speakers, DSPs, etc.
6. Ability to operate an A&H dLive series mixing console.
7. Knowledge of Martin lighting and ability to operate Elation lighting console and software.
8. Understanding of video codec formats and transmission and various types of large screen display technologies such as LED.
9. Understanding of video splicing processors and play-by-play and display control software.
10. Understanding Zoom videoconferencing software and live streaming technology.
11. Certifications from Crestron, Biamp, Dante, etc. preferred.
12. Personal integrity, strong execution, good communication and coordination skills, a high degree of responsibility, the ability to maintain good working conditions under pressure, and commitment to maintaining quality.
13. Position requires working evenings and weekends (the total working hours will be 40 hours per week).
