Job description
This internship will start in late July (based on actual dates if applying) 2025 at the European Chamber Shanghai Office. The internship should last for 3-6 months, with weekly attendance of 3 to 5 working days.
- Research on Europe-China trade and business-related policies and current affairs. Weekly update of the policies & news in the Yangtze River Delta Area.
- Research on industry policies and current affairs. Monthly update of industry working group newsletters.
- Assist in organising working group meetings and/or government meetings. Tasks include sending invitation, preparing briefing notes, meeting agenda and meeting minutes, conducting registration, and other administrative tasks.
- English/Chinese translation and interpretation.
Skills & experience
Desired skills & experience
- Experiences in policy research and analysis. Have a good understanding of EU-China relations, China’s political system, industrial policies in the China market and the local business environment.
- Chinese nationality with a proficient level of English (equivalent to IELTS 7.5 or TOEFL 102 and above). Knowledge of an additional European language is considered an asset.
- Background in international relations, economics, political sciences, law, business, languages, or other relevant areas. Having had study experience in Europe is an asset.
- Good interpersonal skills (strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, proactivity, good communication).
- Computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability of fast learning, multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
