About the company
The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China was founded in 2000 by 51 member companies that shared a goal of establishing a common voice for the European businesses operating in China. It is a members-driven, non-profit, fee-based organization with a core structure of over 35 working groups and fora representing European business in China.
The European Chamber now has more than 1700 members in 7 chapters operating in 9 cities: Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenyang, South China (Guangzhou and Shenzhen), Southwest China (Chengdu and Chongqing), and Tianjin.
The Chamber is recognized as the official voice of European business in China.

Job description
Membership development
· Development of the membership of the South China chapter according to monthly and annual targets
· Preparation of potential members lists and of focused membership development campaigns
· Contact, meet and provide information to potential members according to the development campaign
· Contact and follow up with all non-members participating European Chamber events, WG and Forum meetings
Membership retention
· Managing member relations for the Chamber through telephone, email and face-to-face communication to reach and exceed targets of new membership by providing exceptional standards of customer relationship management
· Developing membership sales plans to ensure the Chamber's membership targets are met
· Actively organizing and managing membership campaigns
· Developing and updating regular reports on membership levels and sales campaigns, and providing progress reports to senior management
· Developing and maintaining close relations with potential members and members
· Dealing with membership inquiries
· Maintaining the membership database
· Collecting contact details for Working Groups/Forms from new members, replying to new members queries or putting them in touch with relevant person in the office
· Invite personally (by email or phone call) new members to events that might be of special interest to them
Sponsorship
· Develop and retain the Privileged Partnership for South China
· Sell sponsorship to reach the target set
Advertising Sales
· Sales of online and printed advertisement as per yearly budget planning
· Writing of advertisement agreements; follow-up on payment and invoice issuance
Skills & experience
Qualification:
· University degree in marketing or business-related subject
· At least 2 years of related experience in a sales, customer relations or business development role
· Fluent in both written and oral English. Mandarin and other European languages are a plus.
· A passion for sales and delivering targets
· Strongly customer-focused and target driven
· Good organisational skills
· Strong analytical and communication skills
· Outgoing, flexible and proactive, with a team-player attitude
