Presentation on Position Paper to the General Administration of Customs

 

On 16th October the European Chamber's President and Secretary General, along with the chairpersons of the Logistics, IPR and Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Oil & Gas (PCOG) Working Groups met with the General Administration of Custom's Vice Minister to present the European Business in China Position Paper 2007/2008.

 

 

 

During this meeting the Chamber's President Joerg Wuttke gave a brief introduction of the Position Paper, which was followed by an overview of particular areas from the Working Group Chairpersons present. The issues of customs protocol with IPR infringements and the Measure for Administration on Enterprises Classification were also discussed.

 

 

The representatives from the European Chamber were warmly received by Vice Minister Sun Songpu and the Director Generals of International Cooperation, Post Clearance Audit, Policy and Legal Affairs, and Customs Control & Inspection. Both sides committed to developing related follow-up working meetings between the European Chamber's Working Groups and the responsible government departments.
