EU-China Managers Exchange and Training ProgrammeThe EU-China Managers Exchange and Training Programme (METP), launched in July 2006, is a four-year intergovernmental cooperation project between the EU and China in the field of international trade. Built within the dynamic context of continuously developing relations between the EU and China, the programme will enhance business expertise by developing European and Chinese human resources.
METP organises training and financially supports internships for 200 Chinese and 200 European managers, and is now inviting applications for its second training intake, METP 2, to run from March 2008 to January 2009.
The selected managers will receive 7 months of full-time Chinese language training at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, attend 2-week intercultural training as well as specially tailored seminars and workshops on cultural and business issues, and undergo a 2-month internship to gain work experience in a Chinese environment.
All tuition fees will be covered and METP will provide participants with a generous living allowance.
