Dinner Seminar: Implementation of China's New Labour Contract Law

Employers across China are faced with a January 1, 2008 date for the implementation of the Labour Contract Law. Many issues are still unresolved about the new requirements and how employers should comply. These issues include implementation of company rules, the role of unions, restrictions on fixed-term contracts, and the continued use of dispatched labor.

European Chamber Chengdu Chapter held a seminar in English in Chongqing and Chengdu on Oct. 15 and 16 respectively on the Labour Contract Law, with Mr. Jeffrey Wilson of Baker and McKenzie, the biggest law firm of the world, as a speaker.
