The PRD Chapter of the European Chamber is delighted to announce that it successfully held its first Sourcing Forum meeting on 21st May. Eric Dirven from DQM China moderated the lively discussion on general issues regarding sourcing in China. The 25 attendees were mainly from companies specialising in sourcing and purchasing managers of companies producing in China. Eric lead the group though the different steps of a sourcing procedure, from finding a manufacturer to sealing the deal. The engaged attendees were glad to share own experiences and receive feedback from colleagues in their trade on best practices. Guangdong Television joined this meeting and broadcasted a short summary together with an interview with Eric Dirven.

It was decided to hold a Forum meeting on a regular basis in Shenzhen and Guangzhou and the group provided much feedback on their expectations of and requirements from this platform.
