Hydrogen, especially green hydrogen, will be a key element in China’s energy transition for achieving the goal of carbon neutrality and building a more sustainable economy. The strategic role of green hydrogen has been emphasized in China’s “Hydrogen Industry Medium- and Long-Term Development Plan (2021–2035)” as a long-term development direction. In the EU, hydrogen strategy and REPowerEU plan have put forward a comprehensive framework to support the uptake of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen to help decarbonise the EU in a cost-effective way and reduce its dependence on imported fossil fuels.
The Energy Working Group is pleased to invite Snam Group Hydrogen CTO Prof. Pere Margalef Valldeperez and China Hydrogen Alliance to share European and Chinese green hydrogen industry developments and policy updates, as well as potential for EU-China cooperation in the field, on Wednesday 7th June at the European Chamber Beijing office and online.
