On 1st December 2024, a new European Commission officially commenced its term. Following the hearings of the various Commissioners-designate and internal negotiations among the major European parties, Members of the European Parliament elected the College of Commissioners as a whole by roll-call vote.
The new European Commission has outlined its objectives for the period from 2024 to 2029 and beyond, guided by a series of key priorities that encompass areas such as defence and security, sustainable prosperity, democracy, and social fairness, etc.
What does this new leadership signify for EU competitiveness and leadership in the global stage? What potential shifts in EU-China relations can be anticipated? What are the implications for European businesses operating within China?
We invite you to join us on 17th December for an insightful exchange. This event will provide updates on the new Commission team, share perspectives on its priorities, and discuss their implications for EU-China relations.
*This is a hybrid event with limited onsite seating to be reserved on a first-come-first served basis.
*The event is held in English with no translation services and off the record.
