William has been providing PRC business, tax, and regulatory advisory services for various multinational companies since 1997.
William had been seconded to the International Corporate Tax Group of KPMG London office for one year, focusing on various international tax projects for European companies.
William has assisted many multinational companies in making investments in China and gathered extensive experiences in serving clients engaged in a wide spectrum of industries including chemistry, electronics, auto and auto parts, etc. His experience covers the range from assisting multinational companies in formulating expansion strategy into the PRC, setting up and structuring their business operations in the PRC, fulfilling relevant registration and filing requirements to the stage of working out practical solutions to various tax issues and exploring possible tax planning ideas for the clients.
In particular, William has advised quite a number of multinational companies in the industry market in their restructuring and M&A activities and assisted them in performing various tax filings including advising on restructuring planning and investment/exit strategies, reviewing/preparing returns of major applicable taxes (such as Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax), performing tax health check, etc.
William is the national leader of Industrial, Auto, and Energy sectors in China.

Nicole started her professional career with KPMG China since 2010 and is devoted to providing with advisory services to her clients faced with challenges from customs authorities in China and complicated customs issues in relation to customs valuation, tariff rates, processing trade, bonded operations, and supply chain optimization.

Nicole participated in a wide range of projects regarding customs duty optimization and utilisation of the applicable international trade models. She assisted a number of MNCs as well as domestic companies in customs compliance diagnosis, review and recommending on existing import and export processes, as well as exploring any potential duty saving opportunities.
