What are the Awards Categories?

- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leader
- Environmental Pioneer
- Resilient Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure Pioneer
- Rural Development Pioneer
- Sustainability Due Diligence Leader
Each category will require the submission of a detailed strategy and policy; a description of stakeholder engagement; an outline of practices and measures taken; the organisational structure; as well as other factors implemented by the company or organisation.

Members of the European Chamber do not have an application fee, non-members have a 2,500 RMB application fee. Multinational companies (MNCs) and small and mid-size enterprises (SMEs) are eligible to apply to all categories. There will be separate awards for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for each category. All applications will be assessed based on criteria given, by judges who represent academia, businesses, and social organisations within the sustainability field.

Why the Sustainable Business Awards?
The European Chamber Sustainable Business Awards have been continuously improving, growing, and promoting awareness of sustainability in business since being established in 2017. Each year, categories, criteria and requirements are adapted to best reflect Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards. Notably, our award categories continue to follow United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals and China’s long-term policies on environmental protection and rural revitalisation.
The application process will bring about a deeper understanding of CSR, company goals and opportunities. The Sustainable Business Awards focus on stakeholder engagement and long-term impact. The judging criteria is systematic and objective; the evaluation process is open and transparent. We always welcome feedback as we value continuous improvement.
