With a view to raising productivity and living standards, and drive the Chinese economy to its next stage of development through science and technology, a raft of tax policies and government incentives have been introduced over recent years to support innovation oriented enterprises, including multi-national corporation. A robust and deep understanding of those incentive policies can unlock significant tax savings for enterprises’ business.
With the recent lock downs, requests from staff to work overseas have resurged. Organisations need to strike a balance between talent retention and risk management. As business requirements and staff preferences are changing rapidly, it is essential to have good guidance and processes in place. As organizations grapple with what the future working world will look like post pandemic, one thing that is certain is that remote working will become an integral part of our new working world.
To help us explore further into the essence of R&D tax and government incentives and untangle the issues pertinent to introducing work from anywhere policies in the mainland, the European Chamber is delighted to invite the leading experts from KPMG China to share their insight on those interest topics, including Mr. Wu Liang, tax partner in R&D Tax & Incentives Practice, Ms. Michelle Zhou, tax partner leading the Personal Tax Advisory practice, and Mr. Jimmy Jiang, Tax Director, from KPMG China.
