Dear Members,
The Human Resources Working Group is pleased to invite you to the meeting “Corporate Compliance Trainings: Why They Matter and What to Expect”, which is taking place on Friday, June 11th, 10:00am-11:30am, both online (via Zoom) and on-site at the European Chamber’s Shanghai office.
As companies navigate new compliance risks in a changing regulatory environment, compliance training programs for management and employees of FIEs are more important than ever. There are certain misconceptions, however, holding teams back from seizing the opportunities corporate compliance trainings present. Moreover, it is often overlooked that most compliance trainings for MNCs in China are FCPA-induced, and that the country has its own anti-corruption and anti-monopoly regimes.
At this working group meeting, Kerui Li, Legal Counsel at Graf von Westphalen and Ben Wang, Head of Compliance at Henkel Greater China (bios attached) will dispel the common myths about corporate compliance trainings in China to help your business derive the greatest benefits available:
- What to expect from effective compliance trainings
- How to employ corporate trainings as a catalyst for employee performance improvement and corporate risk management
- In-house perspectives about driving cultural change through compliance trainings and effective communication
