Sven-Michael is a partner in Bird & Bird's international Corporate Group based in Shanghai and has been living and working in China since 1999, and based in Shanghai since 2003.
His experience includes corporate transactions, commercial and regulatory advice, with a focus on advising clients in relation to the implementation of their technology driven, highly regulated or otherwise complex business models in China. During his career Sven-Michael has also been based in both London and Munich with a remit to develop China inbound and outbound work.

Over the years, Sven-Michael has acted for businesses from all over the world helping them set up, expand, operate and close their presence in China. This work has given him profound insights into the challenges and opportunities when doing business in China. The industry sectors Sven-Michael is often involved with are driven by IP or technology as a core consideration or are highly regulated.

Sven-Michael and his team also regularly advise on compliance, data security and anti-bribery matters, which have become a strong focus for many companies in China.

Ms. Ying Han is Vice President of Global Technology and Cybersecurity Policy and Partnerships (TCPP) and leads JP Morgan Chase’s Asia Pacific TCPP agenda. She is responsible for advancing the firm’s positions on key technology, cybersecurity and data issues and strengthening and developing the firm’s cybersecurity relationships with government agencies, think tanks and industry partners.
Prior to joining JP Morgan Chase, Ms. Han was Policy Director at United States Information Technology Office (USITO), a trade association representing leading global technology companies in China, and led USITO’s cybersecurity and technology advocacy. In her role at USITO, she proactively advocated on China’s Cybersecurity Law and its related implementation measures and actively engaged with policy makers and key influencers to communicate industry voice and help improve policy outcome. She also guided and built USITO’s Emerging Technology Initiative conducting in-depth and forward-looking research on AI, blockchain and other emerging technologies.
Han Ying also served as a Trade Commissioner covering ICT and Digital Media sector in Embassy of Canada. In her role at the Canadian Embassy, she counseled Canadian ICT and Digital Media companies on China ICT policy and market in China, helping them develop competitive business strategy.
Han Ying holds a Master degree in Journalism from Iowa State University, as well as a B.A. in English and Telecommunication Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT).

Hu Jian Jun joined as one of funders of new security department of Siemens China in 2005. There he started as a pen-tester (white-hat hacker). Later as a program manager and other roles, he was responsible for risk assessment, security planning and security solution design, incident handling (CERT activities), etc. And start the research and cooperation with leading customers, local security authorities and standardization institutes. In 2006, Siemens China successfully applied its 1st security service business certificate from local authority.

Since 2016, he built/operated the China Cyber Defense Center in Suzhou, which is the 1st OT (Operation Technology) security specific operation center in Asia pacific, targeting the cybersecurity risk during digital transformation of industries, e.g. factories and plants. Based on this, He also lead several co-creation cybersecurity projects together with leading end-customer. In 2017, the Cyber Defense Center was certified with National Grade Protection Level 3 and ISO 27001 in 2017.

He is responsible for overall cybersecurity governance/services which covering IT/OT/Product/security offering, as well as China cybersecurity regulatory and standardization activities. His team is very active in working groups of standardization bodies such as TC124/TC260.

Hu Jian Jun holds a master degree in Computer Science from Peking University.
