Fair Trade relationships provide the basis for connecting producers with consumers and for informing consumers of the need for social justice and the opportunities for change. Consumers are a vital factor for fair trade, every ethical consumption enables producers to invest in their lives and take more control of their future.
For producer, fair trade offers multiple benefits, such as stable prices that cover the costs of sustainable production, market access that enables buyers to trade with producers who would otherwise be excluded from the market and empowerment of farmers and workers.
This Webinar will discuss the Fairtrade System, challenges including the impact of COVID-19, certified producer organisations and success stories.
The European Chamber is pleased to invite John R. Loughridge, Chief Value Officer, Fairtrade International and León Trujillo, Head of Brand, Trademark & Licensing at Fairtrade International to discuss the importance of making trade fair. Join us via Zoom on 14th July, 2020 at 16:00 (GMT+8).
