As a record number of COVID-19 cases spread around the world, things are slowly going back to normal in China. Amid a gradual recovery in production and general business, uncertainties still remain. While the Chinese government has announced several policies aimed at supporting businesses, the full extent of the responses from the government at central and local levels, and speed of recovery from the pandemic in the months to come are yet to be seen.
Among all the difficulties, Government Affairs (GA) teams in multinationals are facing with multiple challenges as well, especially the lack of timely understanding in policies. The reason behind might be the lack of transparency of policy-making process and the discrepancy of Eastern and Western culture.
