The Chinese market for water technologies is estimated to be among the largest in the World, estimated at $100 billion in 2016, and with an expected growth rate 2016-2020 to be 28% (Global Water Intelligence, 2017). Both public and private investments are of a substantial scale. The public investments are directly related to recent Government regulatory initiatives and adjoined investment programs.
However, due to a variety of reasons, including language barriers, becoming established and expanding at the Chinese Water Tech Market may pose huge difficulties, however competitive the products of services of the international companies. Similar difficulties exists for Chinese companies aiming for the European Water Tech Markets.
