In May 2019, China and the United States both imposed additional tariffs on $60 billion and $200 billion worth of goods originating from US and China respectively, thereby further escalating the trade frictions between the two countries. With the latest development in trade disputes, the tariffs cost and trade uncertainties faced by importing and exporting enterprises have significantly increased. Against this background, how should enterprises evaluate current trade environment's risks and challenges? How do they make good use of the tariff exclusion policy launched by the Chinese government? And how do they properly formulate their own strategies in responding to key tariff-related issues? All of these will be particularly critical.

田耕先生是德勤的海关事务高级经理。在加入德勤之前，他拥有10年的中国海关的工作经验和5年的其他跨国公司中国区总部的工作经验。毕业后进入天津海关工作，曾在单证审核和实物验估等岗位工作多年，拥有丰富的通关现场的实际操作和问题处置的经验。随后，田耕先生进入海关总署相关职能部门工作，先后负责主要税源商品的归类和审价工作。

田耕先生在2010年进入国际跨国公司中国区总部工作并负责公司的海关事务。主导企业的海关合规管理和风险控制，优化企业的进口关税税率，应对不同海关针对企业发起的专项稽查和日常通关质询。加入德勤后，田先生为众多客户提供各类专业服务，协助客户成功应对挑战，提供多样化的解决方案为客户解决实际困难。

Mr. Tian is a Senior Manager based in Tianjin. He used to work in Tianjin Customs and General Customs Administration of China for 10 years. Before joining Deloitte, he owns 5 years experiences of MNCs in China. Mr. Tian started working for Tianjin Customs after graduation. He had in charge of Customs clearance and field verification for several years, and accumulated rich experiences in dealing with complex issues. He later transferred to relevant departments of the General Administration of Customs, mainly responsible for products classification and evaluation.

In 2010, Mr. Tian entered a Multinational Corporation's headquarter in China as Customs manager. In the meantime, he was in charge of compliance management and risk control of customs clearance, optimization of the import duty rate, as well as successfully dealt with the audit cases from the Customs. After joining Deloitte, Mr. Tian supports clients all kinds of professional services to handle the challenges successfully, provides various solutions to resolve the questions and problems in the daily operations.
