The Internet of Things (IoT) is defined as a dynamic global network infrastructure with self-configuring capabilities based on standard and interoperable communication protocols where physical and virtual “things” have identities, physical attributes and virtual personalities, use intelligent interfaces and are seamlessly integrated into the information network. IoT has moved from being a futuristic vision to an increasing market reality both in China and Europe. In this context, the EUCTP II will contribute to a three day event dedicated to EU-China IoT cooperation in Beijing from 31 August until 02 September 2015. This activity will have the support of market stakeholders to sketch recommendations for a joint action plan.
