Dear Human Resources Forum Member,
We are delighted to host Andreas Lauffs, Partner at Baker McKenzie specialized on Labor, employment and employee benefits in China to talk about Labor Unions and Wage Increases and how the latest developments in law and practice affect business and society in China.
As seen in the recent media cases, poor labor relations have lead to increasingly severe reactions from employees. This should alert employers that employees have become increasingly more sensitive to working conditions and below average wage.
Employers’ questions on how to prevent or react to these developments are being asked more frequent. Join us to find the answers to whether this is a phenomenon that may affect European companies operating in China? How will China’s effort to implement the collective wage bargaining in all companies affect European companies? Will demands for increased wages signal the end of China as the factory of the world? What legal frameworks are in place to protect employer and employee rights?
