The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China cordially invites you to attend the Annual General Meeting 2010 and to cast your vote in the election of this year’s Chamber leadership.
The AGM, which will be held at 5pm, Wed 28th April, at the EU Delegation, is particularly important as members will vote a number of new representatives onto the Executive Committee, including a new President.

The President, Vice Presidents and Treasurer will be the voice of European Chamber members over the next 12 months, representing your interests in our communications with government, media and the public.
As such, you are strongly encouraged to attend the AGM and participate in the voting. (If you cannot attend the meeting but would like to vote in the election, please see below for more information on Proxy Voting.)
The visiting Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger will give the concluding remarks at the meeting and join the cocktail reception afterwards.
It will be a great opportunity for all our members, old and new, to get to know each other and our newly elected Executive Committee.

Note: Advance registration is essential. Ballot papers will only be issued to members who register in advance and whose membership fees are paid up to date. If you are unsure about your status with the European Chamber, please contact your local membership office for more details.

Please note that this meeting is open to members only, and due to the limited availability of seating in the meeting room, the number of attendees per member company is restricted to a maximum of two. Each member company can only register for one vote.

Draft Agenda Election Notice AGM Proxy Form Bye-Law No.1 and Abstract of Articles of Association of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China
The Draft Agenda and Election notice outline the planned schedule for the meeting, and the procedures for the elections that will be held on that day. The Bye-laws concerning the Chamber's election process and its Articles of Association are also attached here for your reference.
The meeting will also consider the Annual Report from the President, the Annual Report of the Chairpersons of the Working Groups and the Annual Report of the Treasurer for the year ending 31st December 2009.
The Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Commission to China, Mr. Serge Abou, has appointed Mr. Miguel Ceballos, Commercial Counsellor at the Trade and Investment Section of the Delegation, as Returning Officer for the elections.
