M&A conference Grupo Antolin presentation Attendees only |
Predictions about the outlook of the investment industry and specifically Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in 2021 were initially pessimistic, undeniably the pandemic had devastating influence on the market in the first half of 2020. Despite this, the year 2021 has proven to be a record-setting year for M&A deals closed. According to Refinitiv, the world has witnessed a record setting number of M&A transactions in the first four months of the year, which is 124% higher than the year before and 10% higher than the first four months of any other year on record.
China’s M&A market has bounced back quicker than most countries around the world. Chinese M&A deals increased by 30% to 734 billion in 2020, and it is predicted that the M&A market in China is likely to continue to have a domestic theme supported by state-owned companies or industrial funds. In contrast, the current volatile geopolitical environment among other factors has impacted cross-border M&A greatly. All things considered, how will Sino-foreign M&A rebound in the next year? What hidden opportunities can foreign stakeholders in China take advantage of? How can companies prevent pitfalls and adjust their strategies moving forward?
The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is pleased to welcome a diverse array of experts to shed light on where the M&A landscape is heading both locally and worldwide. Join the 10th edition of our signature M&A Conference.
