Every year on May 9th, we celebrate "Europe Day". Do you know the origin of this Day? This is to commemorate the Schuman Plan proposed by Robert Schuman, then the French Foreign Minister. In 1950, in order to end the dispute between France and Germany, Robert Schuman proposed a new form of political cooperation between the two countries, this cooperation will also contain the endless war among other countries on the European continent. The plan lays its foundation on the economic sharing of coal and steel, but the most important is the desire for solidarity and peace, which have also become the starting point of the construction of the European Union!

The European Union has grown from 6 member states (Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands) when it was first founded in 1957 to 27 member states today. It brings together 510 million residents and promotes the exchange of humanities, science and commerce through the opening of borders. In short, the more frequent the exchanges between member states, the longer the peace in the European region.

On May 9th, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Shenyang, the French Consulate General in Shenyang, the German Consulate General in Shenyang, the Alliance française in Dalian and the Goethe-Institut in Northeastern University will jointly celebrate "Europe Day" in Northeast China!
5月9日，中国欧盟商会沈阳分会、法国驻沈阳总领事馆、德国驻沈阳总领事馆、大连法语联盟、东北大学歌德语言中心将共同庆祝中国东北地区“欧洲日”！
The Alliance française in Dalian and the Goethe-Institute in Northeastern University will jointly hold an online French and German Seminar.
