Businesses in China have mobilized quickly to address critical priorities like employee wellbeing and business continuity during the acute phase of the COVID-19 crisis. For many, the CSR function has been critically important in working closely alongside other key functions to ensure coordination of initiatives to both mitigate negative impact to the company and to maximize support to employees and other important stakeholders. As the situation continues to evolve and move beyond immediate crisis response, the focus of the CSR function needs to shift to improving preparedness, prevention, and organizational resilience. In this webinar, we are delighted to welcome Anke Schrader, Senior Researcher of The Conference Board to present their research and analysis of key take aways for CSR practioners to pay attention to and explore what critical steps and issues need to be considered next, to ensure companies are capturing and acting on “lessons learned”.

Anke Schrader leads research on Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability in China at The Conference Board, a global business research think tank with 4,500+ members globally. Anke’s expertise includes China’s sustainable development agenda, corporate sustainability, and civil society engagement. She is the author of numerous publications and frequently presents research at conferences, briefings, webcasts, and across a range of media outlets. Anke has led multi-year research partnerships with Cornell University and Indiana University (funded by the Henry Luce Foundation and the Ford Foundation), was a guest lecturer at Cornell’s Employment and Disability Institute and is a mentor for the Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University.
